 5 Days Itinerary for Thailand 

DAY 1- PHUKET

Patong Beach

You can start your trip by visiting Patong beach in the morning. It is one of the most famous beaches of Phuket. If you are looking for a place where you can have scenic views, jungle experience, hidden spots and relax then Patong beach is for you. Make sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat with you to protect yourself from the sun. If you are planning to go for hiking in Patong beach, then wear comfortable shoes. Patong beach is also one of the quiet beaches of Phuket, Thailand.

Wat Chalong

In the afternoon you can visit Wat Chalong. It is approximately 16.3 kms from Patong beach. Wat Chalong is situated in the southern part of Phuket, Thailand. Wat Chalong is a temple where one must visit. It is a popular destination for those who want to seek spiritual reflection and those who are willing to experience Thai culture and religion. Visitors are usually mesmerized by the serene beauty and peaceful atmosphere of Wat Chalong. Note that-

-Visitors are required to dress modestly in the temple.

-It is also customary to remove shoes before entering the temple.

Wat chalong also has a meditation hall for those who want to meditate. This temple complex has several buildings. The Grand Pagoda, also known as the Chedi, is the focal point of the temple complex, which was founded in 1837 and consists of multiple buildings. It is 60 meters tall and holds a sacred Buddha relic.

Old Phuket town

In the evening you can visit Old Phuket town which is about 9 Kms from Wat Chalong. Old Phuket town is a historical place in Phuket city known for its vibrant cultural heritage. It feels like a trip back in time to stroll around Old Phuket Town. The architecture, which has ornate architectural features and pastel colours, is a throwback to Phuket’s heyday as a major commercial port. The area’s streets, like Thalang Road and Dibuk Road, are dotted with picturesque shophouses and well-maintained mansions from the colonial era, offering tourists a gorgeous environment. You can also find a lot of cafes, art gallery and boutique shops in old Phuket town. Local markets offer a sensory feast with a variety of street food, handicrafts, and souvenirs, especially the Sunday Walking Street Market on Thalang Road.

Day 2- PHUKET

Phi Phi Islands Tour

A must-vist place for people traveling Thailand. Phi Phi islands are known for its natural beauty and vibrant marine life. Create unforgettable memories with crystal clear water, limestone cliffs, and picturesque beaches with opportunities for adventure and relaxation. Phi Phi islands have one of the best spots in Thailand for snorkelling and diving. Apart from this, Phi Phi also have an amazing nightlife. Phi Phi Don is known for its vibrant nightlife. Also don’t forget to carry some cash with you as you might find a few local shops and restaurants which do not accept credit cards.

 

Bangla Road Nightlife

After spending your day relaxing in the Phi Phi islands you can experience one of the best nightlife of Thailand. Bangla Road, located in the heart of Patong Beach comes alive at night with neon lights and vibrant colours. Bangla Road is renowned for its wide variety of bars and nightclubs. Street performers and shows are one of the best things about Bangla Road. Experiences available to visitors include street artists, spectacular costume shows, live musicians, and fire dancers. Venues like Illuzion and Tiger Disco are one of the best places for dancing and enjoying the light show.

DAY 3- KRABI

Railay Beach 

You can spend your Day 3 at Karabi. Start your day with a visit to Railay Beach. Take a boat from Ao Nang or Krabi Town. Railay beach is also one of the favourite spots for rock climbers in Thailand. The area is also home to vibrant coral reefs, making it a perfect place for snorkelling and exploring the variety of marine life.

Phra Nang Cave Beach

Phra Nang Cave Beach is only 10- 15 mins walk from Railay beach. This beach has white sand and clear turquoise water. Phra Nang Cave Beach, which offers the ideal fusion of scenic beauty, cultural curiosity, and outdoor adventure, is a tribute to Krabi’s natural attractiveness. This beach offers a memorable tropical getaway, whether you choose to explore the cave, swim in the pristine waters, or just take in the breathtaking scenery.

 After having a great time exploring Railay beach and Phra Nang Cave Beach come back to Ao nang and have lunch.

Emerald Pool and Hot Springs

Take a trip to the Krabi Hot Springs and Emerald Pool, located about 30-45 minutes from Ao Nang. Emerald pool, a natural hot spring pool is tucked away in a wooded region and encircled by lush vegetation and deep greenery. Geothermal activity created the pool, which gets its unique colour and warmth from mineral-rich springs. The warm, inviting water is thought to have healing qualities, and visitors can enjoy a pleasant swim in it. There are walking trails in the vicinity that wind through the jungle and provide beautiful vistas as well as an opportunity to get in touch with the environment.

DAY 4 – BANGKOK

 

Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew

Start your day by visiting Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, as part of the Grand Palace, a stunning collection of buildings. Discover Thai royal history and marvel at the magnificent buildings.

Wat Pho

Walk to Wat Pho, known for its Reclining Buddha statue and traditional Thai massage school. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and admire the intricate details of the temple.

Wat Arun-

Take a boat across the Chao Phraya River to Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn. Explore its distinctive Khmer-style central spire and enjoy panoramic views of the river and city.

 

Day 5 – BANGKOK

 

MBK mall

Spend your day shopping at MBK mall, collect souvenirs and find wide variety of dining options. It is located in the heart of city.

Tips for visitors:

-Bargaining: Although many stores have set prices, smaller shops and stalls, particularly those on lower floors, may be open to negotiating.
-On weekends and holidays, the MBK Centre can get very crowded. Going shopping during off-peak hours can improve the experience.

Dinner at Asiatique The Riverfront

Visit Asiatique The Riverfront for a variety of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Explore the night market for souvenirs and local foods, and have dinner at one of the numerous restaurants serving Thai and other cuisines.

Explore the Night Market or Rooftop Bar

Continue to explore Asiatique or visit a rooftop bar like Sky Bar at Lebua State Tower or Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar for stunning views of the city skyline. Enjoy a cocktail or dessert while taking in the night views.

Tips for your Thailand trip:

  • Use local transportation like Tuk Tuk or taxi. Always bargain before getting into Tuk Tuk and ensure that the meter is running in taxi.
  • The local currency is Thai Baht (THB). Use ATMs or exchange currency at reputable places. Always keep some cash with you as you might not find card payment options in some places.
